What we’re about
This group is aimed at anyone within the Cambridge area who wants to know more about cloud computing and Amazon Web Services , and network with like-minded people. Whether you are C-Level, a techie or in a business or management role, there will be something here for you.
At out meetings, we'll have a schedule, with presentations on cloud computing in general, and Amazon Web Services in particular. They'll be covering a range of levels, from beginner through to guru.
There will probably be food and drink provided by sponsors. (Veggie food and non-alcoholic drinks included, of course.)
Oh, and if we can get enough people interested, we might even put in a team for the Dragon Boat races!
This is one of the longest-established AWS User Groups around the country, but we're always changing, so you tell us how you like it. It's your group, after all.

See all- Meeting #38: GenAI - How to Make a Do-EVERYTHING Assistant! The Bradfield Centre, Cambridge
We're delighted to welcome back one of our most-loved presenters, AWS's Danilo Poccia! We're once again grateful to the wonderful Bradfield Centre, which has been kind enough to host us.
Last session, we took a look at Bedrock and Amazon Q, as a gentle introduction to GenAI.
In this meeting, Danilo's going to show us how to use AWS's GenAI services to create an all-in-one chat tool that can:
- Search and browse the web in real-time
- Query Wikipedia for information
- Perform news and map searches
- Safely execute Python code that can produce text and images such as charts and diagrams
- Compose long-form articles mixing text and images
- Generate, search, and compare images
- Analyze documents and images
- Search and download arXiv papers
- Generate and save conversations as text and audio files
- Save files to the output directory
- Track personal improvements
- Manage checklists for task tracking
...which sounds pretty darn spectacular to us!
Here's the order of events. All times are GMT, and are approximate:
- 1830 Doors open: snacks, soft drinks and mixing
