What we’re about
It’s a great time to play or learn to play Pickleball the fastest growing sport in America. Anyone with a will to learn or a desire to play more can join. We will have our events on Monday and Wednesday afternoons at 12:30, Sundays at 1pm and Thursday evenings at 5:15 PM at the public courts next to the library on the corner of Broadway and Ellery. If the courts are full we may have to wait for a chance to play. All three tennis courts at Joan Lorentz Park have lines on the tennis courts marked for Pickleball. You need to bring your own racquet and two balls(mark your balls so at the end you can reclaim them). We will play for an hour to an hour an a half. If you have never played please watch some video instruction on Pickleball on YouTube (there is one below that will get you started). You can learn the rules easily your first time but if you know a little before you attend it will be a big help to you feeling comfortable on the court. There are only two courts open in the daytime at Riverside Park in Cambridge so we will limit signups to 8 people each Monday and Wednesday. If you just want to learn for an hour or two first primate message me and I’ll be happy to teach you the fundamentals of the game at an agreed upon time. Watch the video below to understand the basics.
