We are returning to [Thendara Mountain Club](http://www.thendaramountainclub.com)! They have invited us to stay the weekend at their rustic cabin in Harriman State Park. The full price for this one-night weekend trip will be $49 per person. The cabin (built 1929) has heat, electricity, a full kitchen, indoor men's and women's washrooms, and unheated women's/men's outhouses about 50 ft from the cabin. The main room has heat but the bedrooms on either side are unheated containing 2-4 cots each (rooms are shared). Some leave the door ajar to allow the bedroom to get some heat from the main room. There is also a campsite on the property, and a screened-in bunk house for those that like colder temperatures for outdoor sleeping. (First come, first served for cabin bedroom space, the bunkhouse and camping.) The cabin has a big main room with fireplace, comfortable seating, large eating table and screened in porch. If you choose to stay, the weekend will include Saturday night happy hour, dinner, Sunday breakfast, and a bag lunch for the trail.

Meet us at the cabin on Saturday morning at 10:00am to join us on a moderately strenuous hike. Depending on snowfall, we may instead snowshoe or even cross-country ski. We may also carpool to the trail head. Later in the afternoon we will return to camp for a relaxing and well deserved happy hour in front of the fire! (There should be plenty to share, but BYOB if you like.) Dinner will be provided by the Thendara host for this weekend. Breakfast and sandwiches for lunch will be available on Sunday. Diet restrictions can usually be accommodated - just be sure to tell the host when you RSVP. If sleeping in the cabin, you will need to bring a warm sleeping bag or sheets & pillowcase. There are wool blankets and pillows available. On Sunday, after we have breakfast and prepare our bag lunch, we may go out again starting at about 11am from the cabin.

For Non-Thendara members, the total cost will be $49. **(Thendara members can contact and pay the club directly and do not need to RSVP here.)** This payment will cover meals and lodging for Saturday night (meals are Saturday happy hour and dinner, Sunday breakfast and lunch). YOU MUST RSVP AND SIGN UP FOR MEALS BY FRIDAY DECEMBER 6th for the host to know how much and what food to bring and prepare. Also be sure to advise of any food allergies or restrictions.

This is a one night trip. When you RSVP, you are paying for the Saturday night stay. The payment of $49 is for one person, which will cover the cost of food and lodging. BYOB is common for happy hour.

**GPS: use 1984 Seven Lakes Dr., Southfields NY 10975**. It will bring you to the club’s front gate.
The gate to the cabin is on Seven Lakes Drive. Coming from the north it is 5.2 miles south of the Rt 6 circle or 1.5 miles south of the Tiorati Circle. From the south it is 7.3 miles north of Reeves Meadow Info Center, 4.7 miles north of the Sebago Boat Launch, or 1.8 miles north of the Kanawauke Circle. The gate will be closed but unlocked, please be sure to close it behind you. Drive up the camp road 1/3 of a mile to the cabin to park. You will need park off the road before you reach the cabin if all spaces are taken. If the road has snow or ice, you may need to park by the gate or second dumpster and carry all your belongings up the hill using snowshoes or microspikes. Sleds may also be provided to pull your things. Please do not block the road. Feel free to bring a spouse, date, friend and well behaved kids, but sorry, no pets.

It is your responsibility to research the event, know the area, and bring the proper gear.
