It's time for our end of year celebration - the Annual Christmas Party Camp for 2024!

Come and join us for the celebrations at Butts Reserve in the historic Maldon area. This is a great area for exploring as well as having a lovely town nearby, and on Saturday afternoon the Christmas party will begin with a professionally cooked Christmas feast - no need to cook or cleanup!

The Maldon Historic Reserve protects many relics from the gold mining era – abandoned shafts and tunnels, mullock heaps, quartz roasting kilns, stone walls, chimneys and machinery – as well as the box and ironbark forests.

You can walk or drive to the top of Mount Tarrengower to watch the sunset or see the views from the old poppet head mine tower. The historic town of Maldon is just a few minutes away.

**CHRISTMAS FESTIVITIES**
Saturday night will be professionally catered. There will be snacks, followed by a full buffet dinner including roast meats, baked potatoes, vegetables, salads and rolls. Dessert as well as cutlery, crockery and clean up is also included! A vegetarian option is available on request - please contact me directly in advance.

*KRIS KRINGLE/GAMES (Saturday Arvo) - Optional*
We will play various KK type Christmas and other games. If you would like to participate, please bring a wrapped present to the value of $20. Further details will be provided closer to the event. Please try to be creative and avoid chocolates and bottles of wine.

**FIRES & FIREWOOD**
To keep the communal fire raging, all campers are to contribute firewood. 20kg bags are available from Bunnings for $20. Fires are subject to conditions and local fire restrictions. We are now in the fire danger period so need to be extra vigilant. If you must light a fire during the day to cook on, it must be monitored at all times and extinguished immediately after cooking is complete. We will be in the NORTH CENTRAL fire district.

**OTHER ITEMS**

* The campsite has basic facilities.
* It is recommended you bring 10lts of water for drinking/cooking etc.
* Flushing toilets - BYO toilet paper.
* There is no power.
* Please bring your own tents/food etc - all costs are at your own expense.
* Well behaved and controlled dogs are permitted at this location.

**DIRECTIONS**
Make your way to the Calder Freeway (M79):

* In 115kms turn left onto Fogartys Gap Rd towards Maldon
* In 14kms turn right onto Allans Rd (C283)
* In 3kms turn left onto High St
* In 250m turn right onto Franklin St
* The campsite is on the left in 1km

We will do our best to facilitate as many people as possible to attend this event. If however this camp is significantly oversubscribed, those who have actively participated and supported the group throughout 2024 may be given waitlist priority for this event only.
