Wednesday Griffith/Narrabundah walk - short and long options

Georgia will take you on one of her local wanders through the established suburbs of Griffith and Narrabundah, providing both a short or long option to suit any dog (or human!).

We will start/finish at the Griffith shops; visit an enormous off-leash oval; take in some pretty district views from Rocky Knoll Park; and explore a couple of additional off-leash spaces.

The short option is approx 3 km, mostly flat, and includes time on the large off leash oval. The long option is approx 5 km and adds a short uphill section culminating in pretty district views. Both options involve walking on some dirt tracks and over grassy ovals as well as on paved footpaths.

There are public toilets at the Griffith shops and free parking in front of the shops in Barker Street and behind the shops off Throsby Crescent. The Gryphons Caffe Bar has outdoor tables for those wanting a coffee or more before or after the walk.

• You walk entirely at your own risk and you are wholly responsible for your own, and your dog's, behaviour; by rsvping 'yes' to this walk you understand and agree to this condition.
• All off-leash activities are at the discretion of the walk guide. If for any reason they feel any dog should be back on lead, please respect their decision, as they are trying to ensure everyone has a pleasant experience.
• We ask $7.50 per adult to be paid by card to the guide at the beginning of the walk - children (under 18) walk free of charge. The charge helps cover our meetup subscription, insurance, internet, petrol, and other costs. We will gladly refund this if you are not happy for any reason.
