Wondering if there are other aspiring artists around Canmore interested in painting outdoors "en plein air". Of course artists of any level are most welcome. That said, I am looking to create a welcoming, non-judgemental, beginner-friendly group of people who enjoy connecting with others to create art in any form "en plein air".
Yes - it is odd to create a "plein air" group in January when for most of us, including me, it is simply too cold to allow for an enjoyable painting experience (although I am always happy to be proven incorrect). For the first few months, we will meet inside to connect and practice our drawing (out of respect to the venue we will limit the potential for spills or other mishaps). When the weather warms up, we will move our meetings outdoors.
No instruction is provided... as I am not at all in the position to give any! Everyone is responsible for their own equipment, supplies and safety!
