Christchurch Adventure Park walk (fair bit of uphill)

Join us for a 5.3km uphill walk at Christchurch Adventure Park and then take the free chairlift back down!

This is a free walking track starting from the Adventure Park car park, the trail climbs to the summit, once at the summit we take a free chairlift down. At 1.8 kilometre long the Christchurch Adventure Park chairlift is the longest in New Zealand. This makes it a great opportunity for taking in some of the best sightseeing Christchurch has to offer.
The track is well formed but relatively steep, we will adjust the pace to accommodate all fitness levels. This is an energetic walk up to the top of the hill, take in Christchurch's panoramic views from the Southern Alps across to the Pacific Ocean, while watching bikers and zipliners whiz past. The walk itself takes about 1.5 hours on a well formed track and ascends 450m. A moderate level of fitness is required but this is a good opportunity to build up fitness with uphill walking.
Afterwards, for those that are interested - we can grab nibbles and drinks at the The Adventure Park Café.
We will meet at the start of the walk which is located in the carpark near the gate at the entrance to the park

What to Bring:
• Suitable walking/hiking clothes & footwear.
• Waterproof jacket, something to stop the wind.
• Water (ideally 1 liters)
• Money for drinks and refreshments after the hike
