Bailey Canyon
Details
Bailey Canyon is a very accessible canyon that’s great for beginner & experienced canyoneers. It has a large number of rappels for practicing rigging as well as opportunities to practice ascending, down-climbing, overhangs, partner captures and more! The approach of this canyon starts in a residential park with a parking lot and a restroom with a flush toilet. The approach takes about an hour on a well-maintained trail. At the moment, the park is closed for trail repairs following the recent rains, but I spoke with a city officer who believes the trail will be open by the weekend. If it is still closed, we'll head over to another nearby canyon.
Meet in Bailey Canyon Wilderness Park at 8:00 am.

*REQUIREMENTS to join this event as well as any of the other recreational events posted on this Meetup Group, are that you must have taken the Uber Adventures Technical Canyoneering Course. (Exceptions may be made for those who have taken an approved equivalent course, or for those who have SIGNIFICANT canyoneering experience. Approval for these exceptions are at the discretion of the group organizer.)
*NOTE: Since this is not a guided trip and because canyoneering is a team sport where every member should be able to rappel well, inspect anchors, build new anchors, rig for all contingencies, manage ropes efficiently and contribute in every aspect of the adventure, anyone who's profile does not reflect the appropriate training or sufficient experience will not be allowed to participate. PLEASE KEEP YOUR PROFILE ACCURATE & UP-TO-DATE! If at the trailhead for this event you do not have the appropriate gear or training, you will be turned away.
