What we’re about
Hola a todos! We are a very friendly group of Spanish language and culture lovers who are here to support each other in our Spanish endeavors! All are most welcome to join in on the fun, relax, and make new amigos as we practice our Spanish skills and experience the Spanish culture that is all around us in our own area!
For those more advanced, enjoy lively conversations in Spanish and disfruten de una copa de vino or su bebida favorita y unas tapas. For those who have a lot more Spanish to learn, enjoy practicing grammar, verb conjugations, phrases and even reading and speaking out loud in a supportive environment free of the fear of not kowing how to say something.
And of course if you are a native Spanish speaker, we'd love for you to join in and share a bit of your cultural heritage and the Spanish language while making amigos! Or, if you are of Hispanic heritage pero necescita aprender el espanol un poco mejor, please do join us for a meetup! Everyone is welcome!
The KEY to success for our Spanish group is our sharing and support for each other. All ages and levels of Spanish abilities are most welcome.
Meetup activities may include:
Conversation Spanish cultural events, e.g.; Latin festivals, movies, music concerts, etc
Meetup Fee: It is free
If you should have any questions or suggestions, please do no hesitate to contact me.
Espero que nos veamos pronto!

Join us from the comfort of your home and make connections through Zoom. Our relaxed atmosphere entices conversation for two hours. There is no set agenda for the topics. Come and make new friends! We have a steady following and people get to know each other very well. Current events, travel, culinary delights, art, and music are among some of our most popular topics.
Who is in charge?
Join Gail Butler and Nancy Schear at the Spanish table. They are sisters who have spent some years in Peru and Ecuador, and Colombia have worked many years here in the US using their Spanish language skills.
Is there a fee?
We are asking for a modest fee to attend our language table meetups to help defray the costs associated with facilitating these events. This is a community service The Language Learning Institute does to promote the speaking and sharing of languages. Please register below.
The contribution is $5.00 (plus a small transaction fee). Your sponsorship is greatly appreciated.
Language Level
Our Conversation Tables are held uniquely in the target language. Native speakers attend our tables to maintain their native language proficiency in addition to intermediate and advanced language learners. Beginners are welcome but are encouraged to bring a dictionary since English is not spoken during this period.
