What we’re about
LIVEN UP YOUR SOCIAL LIFE AND MEET NEW FRIENDS
Cardiff IVC Friends and Social is a multi-activities group for people in their 40s/50s/60s (though most of us think we’re a bit younger...). We are about meeting people, making new friends, sharing our interests and trying out new things.
We have a varied programme with activities such as theatre, cinema, live music, walks, badminton, pub nights and weekends away. We arrange trips abroad: recent ones have included Lisbon, Porto and Vienna.
We are a not-for-profit group run by our members. The club is also part of a nationwide organisation of about 40 similar groups, and we join in with them at their events.
You are welcome to join us!

How do I join?
We have a two-stage process.
Firstly you join as a trial member, for no charge. To do this, click ‘request to join’ on our Meetup page. We ask you to put a recognisable photo of yourself on your profile, and submit your email so we can send you our code of conduct for you to read/accept.
You will then be accepted onto our Meetup so you can see details of all our events.
As a trial member, you will be able to attend most events. Please click ‘attend’ on the event in question, and also contact the host directly. If you have not attended any event within three months, your trial membership and access to our Meetup will be terminated.
The second stage is full membership, which costs £15. After you have attended a couple of events as a trial member and decided you like our club, we invite you to join fully. You will be given a membership form and asked to submit your payment.
