One of my old faves. We might even see the Santa Steam Train on it's journey to Lapland :)

Pontsticill Reservoir, also known as Taf Fechan Reservoir, nestled at the southern end of Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons).

This trail leads all the way around the reservoir, taking you through Taf Fechan Forest and offering stunning waterside views, with the majestic Brecon Beacon mountains serving as a backdrop.

This is a beautiful walk albeit a bit shorter than usual but some lovely photo stops along the way so it can be a quite leisurely walk and I've started it a little later too. It is rated easy to moderate, so ok for any level.

I'm sure we will have a pub stop at the end as well.

The parking is on the road near The Red Cow in Pontsticill and there are usually quite a few places to park but please try not to park in front of the pub.
