Festive Walk

Festive Walk being led by Pam.

A great walk just under six miles, starting and finishing at the Wallace Arms, NE49 0JF.
Meeting point at the car park slightly down the hill from the pub on the left. South Tyne Trail car park, os grid ref 682607 just below the Wallace Arms.

The route takes in Featherstone Castle, POW Camp 18, the South Tyne and Lambley Viaduct.

This is a relatively flat walk, we will walk down hill to begin, past the castle and camp, we will cross over a road and into some fields, there may be cows, and there are some steps with railings up to the viaduct.

Dogs welcome.

Warm clothes and sturdy boots a must.

Packed lunch and drink to have by the South Tyne.

Finish with a warm by the open fire at the Wallace Arm
