What we’re about

Want to join a book club, have interesting conversations, and meet new people?   We are a fun group of women who love to get together to socialize and discuss books we have read.
If you are  interested in meeting some nice people to discuss interesting books and get to know one another - then please give us a try.  We try to read a wide variety of literature - and, as much as possible, we select books that have received literary awards or great reviews.  Members will be encouraged to read the assigned books, but can still attend if even they didn't finish...
If you plan on attending regularly, there will be a $20 fee per year to help me defray the costs of using the Meetup site.   If we end up with enough members and go over the Meetup Organizer fee I had to pay, the excess will go into a kitty for drinks or snacks at our end of the year party.
Meeting times are scheduled for 6:00 PM the third Thursday of every month (easy to remember - it's almost a rhyme: THIRd THURsday). We typically meet at a member's home for a potluck and discussion.
One meeting of each year will be to socialize, discuss our last book assigned the previous year, and to set up our book list for the coming year.   All members are encouraged to add potential titles to the list we choose from, and we will try hard to choose at least one book that each person has suggested or wants to read.

We also include social events on our calendar.  Everyone is welcome to help come up with ideas for these!
