This will be a 3-4 mile walk along the C&D Canal on the Michael Castle Trail from Biddle Point to Delaware City and back. We can walk as far as the African Union Church Cemetery and back or continue a little further into Delaware City and back, depending on what the group prefers.

**DIRECTIONS to Biddle Point Trailhead -** Make sure that your directions take you to the trailhead on the north side of the canal.

**From Route 896** \- Turn onto Boyd's Corner Road and continue to US 13 /Dupont Parkway\. Go north on US 13 for about 4\.5 miles\, crossing the newly reopened St\. Georges Bridge\. After crossing the bridge\, turn right at the first light onto Cox Neck Rd\. Continue on Cox Neck Rd\. for about 1\.5 miles\. Once you pass Beford Gunning Middle School and Southern Elementary School on the left\, look for the C&D Canal Wildlife Area sign that is immediately past Southern Elementary School on the right\. There is no road/street signage but turn onto that road and drive about 1/2 mile to the Biddle Point parking lot and trailhead\.

**NOTE:** Because the trailhead access road has no signage, you may want to use Southern Elementary School as your destination and then look for the access road across from the school.
