We will hike the Red and Blue trails that runs for almost 7 miles.

For those that want to carpool, we will meet at 9 am. in the Park & Ride on Route 7 just North of Rt. 273.

If you're driving yourself, here are the directions:
From route 1 south:
Take exit 136.
Follow the signs to route 13 south.
Travel 6 miles and turn right on BlackBird Forest road.
Travel 1.84 miles and BlackBird State Forest will be on your left.
This is the Tybout tract.
Meet in the first parking lot on your left, in front of the ranger station.

Blackbird State Forest, located on the border of New Castle and Kent Counties, is Delaware's northernmost state forest.

This is a Delaware State Forest and no parking fee is required.

Delaware State Parks are the ones that charge a fee.

The ten tracts of Blackbird State Forest are open year-round at no cost to the public for nature walks, hiking, jogging, and horseback riding.
