The Wednesday La Purisima Hike! Every Wednesday at 6 pm. Meet at Visitors Center. Right now this is self-guided hike. The trails are good, pick a leader and get started.

Description: Easy to moderate hike about 5-6 miles. Less than 2 hours duration. We will hike to the water tanks and back. Small elevation gain of about 400 feet, path is paved.

Elevation gain about 400 ft, out and back on an older road.

Directions to Trailhead: From Santa Maria take Highway 1 towards Vandenberg. Continue to Lompoc. Continue to Purisima Road. Continue 2.2 miles to the parking area outside the park.

Park outside, the gate closes at 5 p.m. Park on Mission Gate Road.

Difficulty: Easy to Moderate 400' ascent outbound..

Time: 1.5-2 hours.

Bring: Water & flashlight/headlamp

Dogs: Are Allowed! (Always on leash).
