What we’re about

This group is CCMX - Conservative Christian Millenials & Xennials (29-40s) who live or attend church in the St. Petersburg or Clearwater, FL area. The group is an evangelical non-denominational group, and our beliefs are laid out in more detail below. Our goal is to bring believers in the same generation together to form friendships and encourage, pray for and support one another in our journey of faith. We will have 2-3 meet ups each month during the week typically on Wed or Thursday night where we eat, do a devo or worship & pray together and one or two social events a month. Please only request to join if you are able to come somewhat regularly to a Wed or Thursday night meeting. This is for both singles and married couples and is not a “singles” group but we do hope for it to be a place where singles feel like they belong since many churches don’t offer community for those outside the traditional family.  Building community and friendships is the primary goal but if a business connection or dating comes from that, that can be a bonus.  Events are typically adults only but we will have events that we state your kids can come at times.

Our Values
We are letting you know fundamental belief’s the leadership holds so you know if this group is a fit for you.
The Bible: The bible is the holy inspired word of God. The Scriptures are true, authoritative, and sufficient. (Psalm 19:7-11; 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

Conservative Stewardship:
We hold conservative values both politically and spiritually advocating for the protection of life, liberty and religious freedom in both public and private spheres.
- We also hold the belief that God created only two genders, male and female.
- God's design for marriage is between one biological man and one biological woman, and sexual relationships should only be expressed within this context. (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5-6; 1 Corinthians 6:9)
- We believe that God is a just God, but his ideas of justice are different from the current cultural “social justice” which is divisive and focus on differences instead of our commonalities such as our same creator and identity, not in Christ.
Salvation
People are the special creation of God, made in His own image. By free choice, man sinned against God and brought sin into the human race. Salvation is the redemption of man by the grace of God through his son, Jesus Christ and is possible by his death and resurrection. When a person places genuine faith in Jesus, they are, by God’s grace, made spiritually alive, righteous in their moral standing before God, and receive the Holy Spirit. Romans 6:23, John 14:6; 1:12, Titus 3:5, Galatians 3:26
Baptism
The Greek word for baptism is baptize and means “to immerse”.  Baptism is symbolic of Jesus death and resurrection.  We go down under the water just as he was in a grave and rise cleansed of our sins just as Jesus rose from the dead to wash us of our sins with his blood.  Every Christian should be baptized and if you are not and would like to be, let us know and we will find a way to make that happen.  Acts 2:38, Romans 6:3-8

Christ Centered Community
We are a community of believers committed to encouraging, praying for and supporting each other in our journey of faith.  We will strive to reflect His love and truth in what we do, following his example in service, humility and integrity.
