Are you SAFE?
The Kit Carson Ventures Situational Awareness, Adaptability, Fortification, and Evacuation (SAFE) online class is an engaging, eye-opening and relevant Emergency Management block of instruction, designed and hosted by former Special Operations Forces and Military Police veterans, who currently work as defense contractors.
The online SAFE course is an introduction to the concepts of navigating semi-permissive and hostile environments encountered during times of civil unrest and political violence. The SAFE course is a culmination of academic training, applied knowledge and lessons learned.
Participants will be introduced to:
- Understanding present threats, your vulnerabilities and capacity to mitigate and/or respond.
- Holistic Situational Awareness and Security - How area intelligence and identifying potential threats is your first line of defense.
- Adaptability and Planning in Dynamic Situations - How to adjust your preparedness strategies based on evolving circumstances.
- Fortification Strategies - Applying the "Invisible Fortress" concept to your dwelling.
- Bugging-in versus bugging-out (Hunkering Down vs. Evacuating) - When-to, how-to and why.
