Slowdive is a band from the UK formed way back in 1989. They are a shoegaze, dream pop, bedroom pop and ambient guitar driven band. If you're unfamiliar with those sounds just think of The Smashing Pumpkins, The Dandy Warhols, Catherine Wheel, The Cure, Billy Corgan’s solo stuff, Echo And The Bunnymen, The Stone Roses, Silversun Pickups, New Order, Ride, Swervedriver ( toured with The Smashing Pumpkins ), Slowpulp, Grace Mitchell, The Jesus and Mary Chain and so many more ..

Why is it called Shoegaze ? Because you just kinda relax, bow your head down and slowly rock, bob and sway to the dreamlike sounds .. you're lost in a downward gaze ..
