Camp Hoover, also known as Rapidan Camp, is a scenic and historic hike that passes the retreat of former President Herbert Hoover, and First Lady Lou Henry Hoover. The circuit is a moderate hike and passes Big Rock Falls, which is a small pool and stream cascade where the trail crosses Mill Prong.

WHAT TO BRING: favorite stuff animal, wear broken in hiking shoes or boots, appropriate clothing for the weather, water, snacks, a lunch, rain gear, whistle, headlamp, bug spray, sunscreen, ID, basic first aid supplies, money for carpool, park entry and any optional post hike activities. Please bring your Shenandoah National Park Pass if you have one.
Carpool Fee for This Hike: $10 per person, assuming a full car load, plus entrance fee if needed. The entrance fee for the park is $30 per vehicle.
Carpool Location: Park and Ride, 2031 Ashland Road, Rockville Va. Exit 173 Rockville Manakin Exit of I-64, turn right. First exit west of 288.
