Details
Our 2024 lecture series continues with local educator and Skeptical Inquirer contributor, Tim Redmond.
Details: According to U.S. folklore, a Native American shaman known as 'The Prophet' placed a curse on future president William Henry Harrison and every other president elected thereafter in a year ending in zero. Since Joe Biden was elected in 2020, and will vacate to Oval Office in a few months, it is high time we revisit the hex and understand that it has always had more to do with human psychology than the malevolent musings of a nineteenth-century medicine man.
About the speaker: Timothy J. Redmond, who received his PhD in political science from the State University of New York at Buffalo, is an award-winning educator at Williamsville East High School and an adjunct professor at Daemen University. He is the author of over one hundred articles on critical thinking and politics as well as the book Political Tribalism in America: How Hyper Partisanship Dumbs Down Democracy and How To Fix It.
Doors open: 6:30pm
Presentation: 7:00pm
Admission: $10 at the door. Free for students and Chttps://cfiwny.org/donate/FI members.
