ONSITE Safe Space for Neurodivergent Minds w/ Rebekah Tozer

Details

6:00 – 7:00 pm (EST), every 1st & 3rd Monday in the KNOWING room.

Being Neurodivergent in a neurotypical world is hard. It’s easy to feel broken, flawed, or less than in our neurotypical society. It’s a big, scary, world out there, and sometimes finding a spot where you can safely unmask, ask questions without fear, share experiences, or just be passionate about your special interests is far better medicine than anyone can provide.

Who it’s for: People who are neurodivergent or suspect they are.
What we will be doing: Each time we meet, I will have a topic relevant to taking care of the ND-self prepared. We will use that topic to open a group discussion or activity. We will explore, exchange, share, reflect, affirm, and support each other. Sample topics include: unmasking, meeting sensory needs, regulating the nervous system.
What we will not be doing: We will not be fixing, managing, suppressing, judging, curing, or treating.

Facilitator: Rebekah Tozer, [email protected]

Rebekah is a clinical social worker with a passion for helping those who don’t quite fit in the boxes of society find (or create!) their own spaces. After growing up in rural South Carolina, she opted for a change and moved to Boston, MA and then to Tzaneen, South Africa before finding home in Charleston. She is passionate about supporting others as they grow and discover new things about themselves and the world around them.
