Beginner Open Play at Collins Park

This event is for players that have already attended an Intro Class or are familiar with the rules and how to keep score.

Agenda:

1. Meet and greet at the court
2. Warmup with some dinking and volleying at the kitchen line
3. Play some pickleball
4. Take a group pic for the group page!

In order to continue improving, pick a skill to work on every session. Below are some examples with linked videos by Enhance Pickleball.
Pick one, watch the video, and then pay attention to your performance throughout the game.
Don't be discouraged if you start noticing more of your own errors. That means you're learning!

• Dinking - Dropping the Ball into the Kitchen
• Return Shots - How to Respond to the Serve
• Volleying - Hitting the Ball in the Air at the Kitchen Line

Make sure you have the following before you head out:

• sunscreen
• water/sports drink
• hat
• sunglasses
• pickleball paddle
