Monday ACIM study group

This is a support group for people studying the A Course in Miracles. It is not teaching group and not a spiritual discussion group. The Course is a yearlong self-study program; a tool designed for daily use. Our study group is intended to support your daily self-study. You can learn about the Course and read the text in in many places including the Foundation for Inner Peace website www.ACIM.org. The Miracle Distribution Center www.MiracleCenter.org offers a fairly a comprehensive listing of study groups and other resources.

We are using the “Complete and Annotated Course In Miracles” published by the Circle of Atonement. It includes all the material found in the Foundation’s blue ACIM books plus additional material that had been left out. You can learn all about this newest edition, which is based on the original handwritten notes of Helen Schucman, at www.circleofa.org. It is available from Amazon.com. It is also available as a free and easy to read/search app from Google or Apple, just search for” ACIM CE.

We begin with a short meditation, usually based on a workbook lesson or reading from the Course. We then take turns reading paragraphs from the Text and occasionally pausing between sections to reflect on ideas that resonate or questions that arise. As you read you will notice that many of your questions will be answered in the next sections of the book. We try to read more than we chat. We end around 8:00 PM with a brief prayer, again usually from the Text. We sometimes talk for a few minutes after this.
