Why did we create Queer Friends Charlotte?
We created Queer Friends Charlotte so we can host events that bring people in their 20s and 30s together in a safe space where we can get to know each other and make genuine friends, connections, and possibly more
Who should join?
This group is for LGBTQIA+ people looking to live a better life through self development, spirituality, and personal growth while having fun at events and making best friends along the way.
Our events bring together people who share similar interests. If you identify with any of the following or have interest in any, you should join:

Who are your hosts?
Hey! My name is Riley and I will be one of your hosts for Queer Friends Charlotte. I’m originally from Indiana and lived in Florida for a few years where I went to Valencia College studying writing and film production. I’ve lived in Charlotte only for a few months and was looking for ways to make friends and meet new people. I’ve been to a few Meetup events but realized there wasn’t a dedicated group for the younger LGBTQIA+ people in Charlotte and wanted to change that! In my life, I’ve also connected with my sense of spirituality and it has helped me to deepen my relationship with myself and those around me. It has had a profound impact on how I treat my body, mind, and soul. All of these factors have lead me to live a healthier, happier life no matter what phase or season I’m currently in. There’s always a new day to make the most of and to be grateful for. If your story is any like mine and are looking for your soul tribe then come hang out with us at one of our events soon. Hey! I’m Zaylan, your other host ✌️I’m originally from Myrtle Beach where I played a lot of bass guitar and started doing photography, lived in Charleston for a while, and have been in Charlotte for about 1 year. I work as a software engineer and co-own a photography business with my ahhhmazing partner 📸. Just like Riley, connecting
with my spirituality and loving myself more has been helping me attract and create better days. I hope to meet you at one of our events!
