PATC Vining Tract/Mutton Hollow Trails-Maintenance Days & Option Cabin Overnight

We will be working to improve conditions on a number of trails in the PATC Vining Tract and Mutton Hollow District (Greene County) including Cliff Trail and Orion Trail which will require regrading, cutting vegetation/blowdowns, pulling invasives, and rockwork. Wear work clothes, gloves, protective eyewear and bring a day pack with water, snacks, lunch, and rain gear. We will provide tools and hard hats. Butternut Cabin and Conley Cabin (PATC cabins) have been reserved for any folks who want to stay overnight on December 10. There are 14 spots in the cabin - let us know if you want one. You are welcome to come either day or both, but just let us know your plans. The daily schedule will be meeting at Vining Tract parking lot at 9 am, work until noon, lunch, work 1-3 PM. If you need to leave early, just inform us. If you are unfamiliar with the area or have a car that is not suitable to drive up a steep, gravel road let us know and we will meet you at the Golden Horseshoe Inn/Blue Ridge Pottery parking lot at 9 am. If you plan to stay overnight bring a sleeping bag, clothes, and extra food. We will plan a group dinner.
