What we’re about

Who We Are:

The Chester & Borders Polish Society is a vibrant community dedicated to celebrating Polish culture, language and heritage. Based in Chester, we host monthly meetings in Storyhouse that are open to everyone.

Our society is a place where people from all backgrounds can come together to learn, share and appreciate the rich tapestry of Polish traditions.

What We Do:

Each month we present a unique topic related to Polish culture, history, or contemporary life. These topics serve as a foundation for engaging discussions, which are conducted in both English and Polish. This bilingual approach ensures that everyone regardless of their level of linguistic ability can participate and enjoy the sessions.

Why Join Us:

Cultural Enrichment: Immerse yourself in Polish traditions, festivals, and customs.
Language Practice: Improve your Polish language skills in a friendly and supportive environment.

Community Building: Meet new people, make friends, and connect with others who share your interest in Polish culture.

Educational Opportunities: Learn about Poland's history, art, literature, and more through our diverse range of topics and discussions.

Who Can Join:

Anyone with an interest in Polish culture and language is welcome to join our society. Whether you are a native speaker, a learner at any stage, or simply curious about Poland, you will find a warm and inclusive community here.

To become a member of our Society, an annual subscription of £25 is required. If you're considering joining, you're welcome to attend your first meeting free of charge to learn more about what we offer.
