War & Peace: Is conflict productive? What about peace?

Details

It’s fight night at Chicks who Chat this month. Well not really...

This month we’ll be exploring the role of conflict in our society, in media, relationships, and politics. We’ll dive into topics like war, standing up for yourself, and the importance of finding common ground and peace in our chaotic world. We’ll discuss situations where it’s a good idea to fight and situations where it’s better to lie low and calm things down. Maybe we’ll even talk about the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight who knows?

We’ll examine conflict and peace using prepared discussion questions. When we get to our location, I’ll have these questions printed off and we’ll split into groups of 4 to 6. Each group will lead their own discussion using questions.

PLEASE UPDATE YOUR RSVP ON OUR FACEBOOK GROUP so I can ensure there is enough space for everyone who plans to attend.

Note: We want to create a respectful environment where people aren’t afraid to share and examine their beliefs. It is inevitable that we view these topics differently and it may get slightly heated. Please remember that everyone deserves respect. We want to create a safe environment where women from different backgrounds, races, careers, religions, sexual orientations, and identities can get to know one another and share their thoughts. If you are intentionally shaming others, yelling, insulting others, etc, you will be asked to leave.
