Morning Hike and Coffee

Weather permitting, let's hike the Green Mountain West Ridge Trail. This is a beautiful hike any time of the year, but it's a good winter hike if we do have snow by that point. This 3.8-mile hike will take us along the ridge from Flagstaff to Green Mountain. It's easy going until the final 0.25 miles, which gets kind of steep. But then you're at the top and can enjoy beautiful views in all directions!
A couple things to note:
- Not a bad idea to bring microspikes! There may be snow on the trail even if there's none down in Boulder. And I would bring hiking poles if you usually use them -- there's one quite rocky section at the end.
- Parking is along the road at the trailhead. It's free, and we shouldn't have any trouble finding spots.
We can grab coffee somewhere cozy after!
