Please only park in the pub car park if you are booked for lunch or going in for a drink/cuppa - park facing the right hand wall.

Lord Nelson Pub, junction Sandy Lane & Radburn Brow, Clayton-le-Woods, Chorley, PR6 7RD. From the A6 Preston Road, you can only turn into Radburn Brow if you are coming from the Preston direction, so if you are coming from Chorley you would need to turn round at the mini-roundabout at the big Lidl store next to the new McCarthy & Stone retirement flats.

If you are not coming for lunch or drink/cuppa after, please park on the roadside in the area and allow extra time to walk to the pub car park - try Chorley Old Road.

Walking to Asda to go through Cuerden Valley woods, following the River Lostock to Lisieux Abbey and Buckshaw Hill with all-round views. Back along Clayton Brook pathway. Medium pace, slower uphill, 7-8 miles, no formal stop, just quick drink stops, back at The Lord Nelson for lunch at 1.30pm.

TOILETS: No toilets at the start (Lord Nelson will not be open) or en route.
DOGS: One dog per person ok if shown on your profile, and kept under control throughout the walk, On a lead as necessary.

FEE TOWARDS MEETUP COST - £4 for any number of our walks within 6 months. Please pay the Walk Leader in cash at the start of your second walk - your first walk is free!
