Out of the Silent Planet (Space Trilogy book 1/3)

Hello Lewis and literature lovers! In 2025 we'll be going through a number of novels, starting with Lewis's incredible "Space Trilogy". The first in the series is "Out of the Silent Planet", in which the main character is kidnapped onto a spaceship heading for Malacandra (which turns out to be Mars).

Because these are novels (though this one is fairly short), we're not going to read aloud on the night, as we've done at previous meetups. Instead, we hope most of you can read the book ahead of time. Homework! It's a great read, though, so I don't think that will be a chore. And if you haven't finished the book -- or haven't even started -- we'll let you come anyway. :-)

Franci and I will put on a nice spread of food and drink to go with the evening. If you are willing and able to contribute a small donation, we'll have a koha/donation jar (you can also transfer to our bank account 11-7116-0034925-00). Suggested donation $5, but no obligation if you're not in a position to or would just rather not.

I am limiting it to 15 attendees due to space reasons in our living room, so please do RSVP. :-)
