What we’re about
Welcome to our Chronic Pain Resilience Support Group! This group is dedicated to providing a supportive and understanding community for individuals living with chronic pain. We believe in focusing on building resilience, sharing experiences, and exploring ways to cope with and manage pain effectively. Whether you want to learn pain education and mindfulness techniques or simply connect with others who understand your journey, this group is for you. Join us for meetups filled with empathy, education, and empowerment as we navigate the challenges of chronic pain together.
The structure of the sessions are:
- Quick Check-In: We'll start each session with a brief check-in to see how everyone is doing.
- Weekly Topic and Lesson: Each week, we will focus on a specific topic related to pain management.
- Facilitated Discussion: We’ll have a guided discussion to delve deeper into the topic and share our experiences and insights.
- Pain Tool with Practice: We will introduce a practical tool or technique for managing pain, followed by a practice session.
- Note a Takeaway: At the end of each meeting, we will note a key takeaway that we can apply in our daily lives.
First Week’s Topic: On July 11th, we will explore the topic of “How Does Chronic Pain Work (and What Can You Do About It).” We will discuss the mechanisms of chronic pain, its impact on our lives, and actionable steps we can take to manage it effectively.
*Please plan on participating on camera for this group. Our group will combine learning and group discussion, so please come prepared to listen and share your experiences as well.
