What we’re about
Picture this for a Sunday afternoon: hanging out in the vibrant, shaded courtyard of Kudu, one of Charleston's coolest coffee shops, enjoying an iced coffee or beer, and playing or learning chess while meeting new people. If this sounds like a good time, come join Charleston Coffeehouse Chess.
All skill levels welcome, including (especially) total beginners! This group is more about making new friends and growing the game of chess than it is about having serious, silent games. Serious players are welcome too, but please come ready to teach and chat!
We will have a few boards, but if you have your own or a timer, feel free to bring them. We'll meet in the courtyard of Kudu Coffee and Craft Beer, 4 Vanderhorst St. Of course, you're encouraged to buy a coffee, beer, or bite to eat.
