What we’re about

This group is a celebration of movies so bad they're actually amazing. Ridiculous concepts, clunky dialog, inept filmmaking, wooden acting, inexplicable production choices, all the wonderful things that make us giggle, laugh, positively guffaw in delight.

You know, movies like...

  • Cats
  • Gymkata
  • Battlefield Earth
  • Mac and Me
  • Foodfight!
  • The Room
  • Geteven/Champagne and Bullets
  • Lycan Colony
  • Samurai Cop
  • Troll 2
  • Showgirls
  • Fateful Findings
  • Rollergator
  • and 4 of the 5 movies Jason Statham made this month.

While the group began with in-person screenings in Brooklyn (hence the original name), we're now doing our screenings online so you won't be at the mercy of the MTA or other regional transportation agency!

How It Works:
We'll simultaneously watch a movie on a streaming platform and make comments to each other on a conferencing platform (like Zoom or Discord--let us know which platform you prefer!). Then we'll share our final thoughts on the film and crack each other up a bit more before bidding a fond farewell.

At first, our movies will be chosen by our new organizer, who's been watching cinematic crap for decades now. Meanwhile, we'll build up a list of potential movies from your suggestions; once it's beefy enough, we'll take polls to see which flick we'll watch next.

So let's get together and watch something crappy!

[Shout-out to Cinema Terriblé Austin, a great group of lovely people who gave our new organizer hours and hours of delight when she lived in Central Texas.]
