What we’re about
Are you a conservative who is concerned about the stewardship of Earth?
A college student? A BIPoC activist? All of the above? None of the above?
Citizens' Climate Lobby has a place for you!
And the Huntsville chapter wants to be your home base.
For now, the Huntsville CCL Chapter is meeting every 2nd Saturday of the month. (This may change starting August for football season.)
First we watch the monthly speaker and national call at 12 noon CT. Then our chapter meeting will follow directly after, about 12:45pm CT. You can find the meeting link and RSVP on our chapter events calendar page, at

More about CCL:
Citizens’ Climate Lobby is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, grassroots advocacy organization empowering people to experience breakthroughs exercising their personal and political power. Our chapter is just one of hundreds of chapters across the world working to create the political will for a livable world.
We are laser focused on a specific piece of legislation and a proven strategy to gain its passage. We are working for the passage of Carbon Fee and Dividend, the climate change solution economists and climate scientists alike say is the “best first-step” to preventing the worst impacts of a warming world.
Our market-based Carbon Fee and Dividend policy will drastically reduce emissions, create jobs, and support small businesses and families — all without growing government.
We’ve seen firsthand how passionate citizens who are well-trained, organized by district and with a good system of support can more than influence the political process.
Come and be a part of it!

See all- Citizens' Climate Christmas tree decoratingNorth Huntsville Public Library, Huntsville, AL
Hi friends!
Last year, we decorated a Christmas tree at the North Huntsville library with CCL flyers. It was a bit last minute so we were only able to enjoy the fruits of Jenna's family's labor. This year, with a little extra notice, hoping that the whole chapter can join and help with the decorating.
Come and give your opinions on aesthetics of a tree decorated with CCL quarter page flyers :-). Bring a favorite flyer of your own if you wish!

Positioning for Progress
CCL's Fall Virtual Conference 2024On Saturday, Dec. 7, Utah’s Senator-elect John Curtis will give a keynote address at Citizens' Climate Lobby's fall conference. Curtis, a Republican who currently represents Utah’s 3rd District in the House, has already leaned heavily into the climate issue during his time in Congress. He founded the Conservative Climate Caucus and, most recently, signed on to a Republican letter to protect clean energy tax credits from threats of repeal. He has also long been an ally of CCL, participating in local town halls about climate issues, going on hikes with local volunteers, and even playing ping pong. You won’t want to miss this opportunity to hear his perspective on climate policy in the new Congress.
Join us at our fall virtual conference for an insider’s look at what Congress is expected to tackle on climate change. We’ll cover the key opportunities during the lame duck session at the end of this Congress, as well as exciting possibilities emerging for 2025. No matter the election outcome, CCL stands ready for action as a trusted and essential partner in Congress.
Whether you’ve been a climate advocate for four days or 40 years, you’ll learn fresh ideas and tips for how to make change happen in your community and with your members of Congress. You will also get a chance to meet your fellow climate activist community in Huntsville in a casual setting.
Details: Saturday, December 7th at 10 a.m. CT, at a CCL volunteer's home in Triana. Feel free to join early to socialize ahead of the event, which will start at 10am sharp! or drop in as your schedule allows.
We will provide pizza 🍕, Diet Coke, & water for attendees who RSVP. Feel free to bring other food, snack, or drink items to share to make it a pot luck! Comment on the RSVP or below with your expected arrival time, what you may bring, and any food restrictions to help us plan!
You are welcome to bring a friend or two to this new member friendly event. Registration is free.
