What we’re about
This group will give people the opportunity to learn how to play chess. You will have the opportunity to meet new people, make new friends and practice your chess. As the group grows, I will introduce Chess tournaments at a later time. Anybody who loves to play chess and is looking for a friendly group is welcome to join. I will schedule this group to meet one Saturday per month.
As of Sunday Evening March 24th, 2024 I have created one website to cover both my Chess and my Backgammon group. The website contains videos on how to play two or four player chess along with one video that covers basic chess openings. As time goes by, I will be updating the site as needed. I hope you find my website useful and I will be glad to consider any requests you may have as far as what you would like to see on the website.
There are only three requirments.
- You must bring your own chess board.
- There is no smoking.
- A profile photo is now required when you join Citrus Heights Chess Club. The profile photo is not only required but will be very helpful and much appreciated.
- There are no nicknames allowed. I will need your real name.
