WHAT WE'LL DO:
Meet across from Karen's Bakery in Old Folsom. This is an out and back hike of about five miles starting at Karen's Bakery and traveling along an interesting dirt trail more or less paralleling the paved bike trail. It's closer to the river and has nice views throughout; as much a hike as a walk, and the trail feels nicely secluded much of the way. There are restrooms at the turnaround point at the Willow Creek Recreation Area where we'll take a short snack break.

Our pace will be relatively brisk at about 3 miles an hour. Weather looks to be sunny with a temperature around 50 degrees at the start.

Good hiking shoes are recommended and hiking poles might be helpful. Bring water and a snack.
