Picnics in Parks Community Hangout

Hi Everyone,

Come hang out, hear about what's on in the Central City Community this weekend, and make some new friends.

We change the location every week, so keep an eye out for the location update the day before.

We do this every Friday in the Central City and set up a pop-up community space in a car park from 11am to 12:30pm.
Come as you are at any point in that hour and a half. Join in, have a cuppa and kōrero, and meet people living in the Central City and close by.

It's a great way to meet neighbours, have a chat about things that matter to you and find out about some cool things happening in the community right now and over the summer months.

Look for a couple of cargo bikes and some tables and chairs in a (paid for) car parking space out front. Our pop-up is a little bit of active urbanism demonstrating how car spaces can be used as people spaces.
