Old Mulgrave Castle from Sandsend

Meet in the public car park at Sandsend. There is no parking fee during the winter months and there are toilets available in the car park.
This walk is 6 miles in length and should finish by 16.30. There will be a short 10 minute break so please feel free to bring a drink and/or snack.
From the car park we walk to East Row, Taking a wooded footpath, field paths and quiet road we arrive in Dunsley.
More field paths past Warnbeck Farm and Heulah Farm, take us to the South Lodge of Mulgrave woods. The remainder of the walk is in the woods, with a stop at old Mulgrave Castle, and emerging in old Sandsend village near the chapel, a short distance from the car park.
Please ensure you dress for the weather with good waterproof footwear. Check the weather forecast in case you need to carry waterproofs. It is advisable to carry a small first aid kit, torch, extra warm clothing and drinks.
