If you grew up in one of the civilized suburbs like Shaker Heights or Cleveland Heights, this restaurant already should be familiar to you. In the 1990's it was the place to be on a Friday or Saturday night - often with a line out the door.
Over the years, though, especially after the Thai food craze took hold, this Chinese restaurant started to look dated and eventually lost its way.
But with new ownership this historic Cleveland landmark is back on track!
Join us for an holiday feast Asian style at Hunan Coventry. After dinner we may explore some of the eclectic shops along Coventry Road - perfect for last minute holiday shopping ideas.
Also, I recommend taking advantage of the ample free parking in the two-story parking garage located on Coventry just across the street from Hunan. There is street parking along Coventry, but this can be harder to secure on a Saturday night, especially during the holiday season.
As always with dinner Meetups please only register if you know you will be able to attend. I must give the owner a final headcount 2 days prior, which I am financially committing to, so there will be no love for last minute dropouts!
