Cleveland Museum of Art: Decompression (with dinner afterwards)
Details
Let's recharge and recover from all of the November political distress with an evening of inspiration at the Cleveland Museum of Art (with dinner afterwards at Cafe Tandoor in Cleveland Heights).
Friday, November 15th will feature several new exhibits at the CMA, including Chinese Ming Dynasty calligraphy, "Picturing the Border" photography, Native American textiles, painting from India as well as the reinstallation of the Krishna Lifting Mount Govardhan sculpture.
In addition all of the main galleries will be open to explore including Impressionism, Cubism, Abstract Expressionism and Contemporary.
The CMA is a world-class art museum and is consistently ranked in the top 10 in the U.S. Plus on a Friday night basically we have it all to ourselves!
We will meet in the large Atrium right next to the Museum Cafe at 5:45 pm sharp. Then at 6:00 we will break into small groups and experience the impressive and varied CMA galleries until about 7:20 pm. Feel free to change groups as we run into each other along the way.
At 7:20 we will reconvene in the large Atrium and head out to the nearby Cafe Tandoor on Taylor near Cedar in Cleveland Heights for dinner
Street parking around University Circle is always free after 6:00 pm. The CMA parking garage is only $7 if you are a member (and a little more if you aren't).
