January Environment & Climate Book Club - Islands of Abandonment
Details
Hello climate friends and book lovers! This month, we'll be reading the beautifully written Islands of Abandonment: Nature Rebounding in the Post-Human Landscape by Cal Flyn.
If you're into the idea of visiting abandoned human landscapes like Chernobyl and remote areas of Scotland and seeing the wild things that have managed to flourish where humans have left, this is the book for you. Rewilding enthusiasts will also get a lot of out of this.
Please read as much of the book as you can before the meeting so we can have a lively discussion, but it's okay if you can't finish the entire book.
Find the book on Amazon, Bookshop (supports local bookstores), BetterWorldBooks (donates a book to someone in need), or at your local library/bookstore.
