As fellow YAML engineers, we all love our abstractions. Kubernetes offers a wonderful way to abstract from hardware, operating systems, networking, and operations—until it doesn’t. Behind the scenes, there's still a Linux kernel, running processes, and forwarding ports with iptables. And when things go south, magic and YAML won’t always save you.

This December, we're going to pause our suspension of disbelief and take a look under the hood to marvel at the inner workings of actually building the modern, abstract, serverless cloud!

We’re lucky to have two deep-tech builders in the room, sharing their decisions, designs, stories, and lessons.
