Group Rules:
1. RSVP Policy: Members are required to RSVP for events they plan to attend. If unable to attend, members must cancel their RSVP prior to the event start time. This allows our hosts to plan effectively and respect other members who may be on the waitlist.
2. No-Show Policy: Members who RSVP but do not attend events will receive a strike. After three strikes, the member will be removed from the group.
3. Age Requirement: To maintain focus on the interests and needs of our target demographic, members must be in their 20s or 30s to join our Meetup group.
4. Communication Policy: We value the safety and comfort of our members above all else. To ensure a respectful environment, members are not permitted to directly message others on any platform, including Meetup or any external platforms, unless they have received explicit permission to do so. This applies to all forms of contact, whether related to group activities or individual communication.
Permission should be enthusiastic, clear, and unambiguous. Any continued contact following a non-enthusiastic, unclear, or ambiguous response is strictly forbidden and will be considered harassment, leading to a violation of our terms of service.
This policy is in place to ensure that our community remains a safe, respectful, and enjoyable space for everyone. Please be mindful of others' boundaries and respect their personal space, both online and offline. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
5. Event Planning: Members are not allowed to change plans for events or offer suggestions that may divert the group without first consulting with the host. This ensures everyone has a good time and our events remain on track.
6. Event Description and RSVP Questions: Members must read the event descriptions and answer the RSVP questions, if any.
7. Dual RSVP Policy: If a member RSVPs for the same venue/event with another Meetup group, they may be removed from our event for member safety, unless it's a partnered event as specified by our event host only.
8. Payment: For events that require advance payment, an RSVP deadline will be set. If a quota is specified and met by this deadline, tickets will be purchased. If no quota is specified, tickets will be purchased for all members who have RSVP'd by the deadline. Please note that no refunds will be given after the RSVP deadline to protect the interests of both the group and its members. However, if the group is unable to secure reservations for any reason, refunds will be issued. Additionally, if a member cancels their RSVP before the RSVP deadline, they will also receive a refund.
Terms of Service:
Agreement: By joining this Meetup group, members agree to abide by these Terms of Service.
Liability: Members acknowledge that participation in the group's activities is voluntary and may involve certain risks. Members agree to take full responsibility for their own actions, safety, and welfare. The group, its organizers, event hosts, and associated parties are not liable for any injuries or damages that may occur as a result of participation.
Payments: Any payments made directly to the group are for the purpose of the event. Refunds will be issued under the conditions outlined in the group rules.
Decisions by Organizers: All decisions made by event hosts or organizers are final. The reasoning behind these decisions is not open for discussion.
Photo and Video Consent: By attending our events, members grant us permission to capture their image in photographs and/or video recordings. Furthermore, any media content (including photographs, videos, etc.) created by members and shared with the group via event pages, Instagram, direct messages to event hosts or organizers, or any other means, immediately becomes the intellectual property of the group. This content may be used on our website, social media platforms, promotional materials, or any other public communications, without any compensation to the member.
Harassment and Discrimination: Our group is committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all members. Any form of harassment or discrimination will not be tolerated.
In our social group, all forms of caste-based discrimination and related practices are strictly prohibited.
Advertising and Solicitation: Other groups or individuals are not permitted to join our Meetup group for the purpose of advertising or soliciting our members. Violators will be removed from the group immediately.
Damage Liability: Members are responsible for any damage or loss caused by themselves or their guests during events, whether to property, equipment, or otherwise. Members agree to be fully and legally liable for such damages. They will have a period of fifteen (15) days from the date of the incident to arrange payment for the damages with the organizers. Failure to make arrangements or complete payment within this period may result in further legal action.
Disputes: Any disputes arising from these Terms of Service will be resolved through negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes will be resolved through a mutually agreed-upon arbitration process.
Force Majeure: Neither the group, its organizers, event hosts, nor any associated parties shall be held responsible or liable for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations hereunder arising out of or caused by, directly or indirectly but not limited to, forces beyond its control, including, without limitation, strikes, work stoppages, accidents, acts of war or terrorism, civil or military disturbances, nuclear or natural catastrophes or acts of God, and interruptions, loss or malfunctions of utilities, communications or computer (software and hardware) services; it being understood that the group shall use reasonable efforts which are consistent with accepted practices in the industry to resume performance as soon as practicable under the circumstances.
Amendments: These Group Rules and Terms of Service may be amended from time to time. Members will be notified of any changes, and continued participation in the group will be deemed as acceptance of the amended terms.
