Saturday Urban Farming: We Grow Fresh Produce for Soup Kitchens
Details
Charity Farm: We feed those in need with our fresh produce.
We will be harvesting, weeding, building new planting beds and more. Please bring: hat, water, clean clippers, gloves (if you want) and hand hoe or hoe (if you have one). We have fun, would love your ideas, have many acres to plant and a food forest (modified due to restrictions) to design. We are all volunteers coming together to get fresh air, exercise and contribute to our community with fresh produce for those in need.
Please park to left side of farm driveway without blocking the blue container or roads.
We just received an address from the County. I suggest you type CoCo San Sustainable Farm into your GPS. The address will take you to the wrong location.
Turn in toward big black water tanks and drive past these and park. Please take my phone number 925-788-7374 and call if you can't find us.
Email me at [email protected] or text me, if you don't get an email response.
VOLUNTEERS, PLEASE READ:
- Please email [email protected] and request the Volunteer Release of Liability Form. This must be completed prior to volunteering on the farm. We have forms at the farm, too.
- Bring your own reusable water bottle. There is no potable water on site.
- If you are not feeling well, please stay home.
- We are off grid. The closest bathrooms are down the road. Please prepare accordingly.
- Wear close-toed shoes, hats (if needed), bring gloves.
- If irrigation lines become damaged, let your coordinator know.
- PLEASE DO NOT WALK ON RAISED PLANTING BEDS!!! Walk ONLY on pathways.
- If you are planting, double-check on appropriate spacing and depth.
- No plant materials can be planted on the property with clearance.
- Ask questions! We are a teaching farm!
Thank you! Welcome!
