What we’re about
Notice:
This group has been free to its members for 3 years. Each year, organizers pay to host events on the Meetup platform. In 2024, fees doubled and it now costs organizers $350 per year to host events. As a result, a very reasonable annual membership of $15/year has been instated. An announcement went to all members about this change at the end of September. This covers the $3 processing fees from Meetup & Stripe, and $1/month. This is intended to offset some of the costs of running and organizing Meetups that benefit our community. Unfortunately, some people have found this to be an outrageous request to support the time, effort, forethought, and energy required to build this community.
This group will run through the end of my current billing cycle, which ends in January 2025. At that time, I will determine if continuing to run this group is worth it for me. It's unfortunate over 300 members - many of whom attended at least one event in a year, and multiple events over 3 years - have left over this decision. I hope you can understand my reasoning, especially given my recent unemployment. Sometimes things have to crumble to be rebuilt. Will you be part of the new era or will Coffee & Create be gone for good? The choice is in your hands.
About:
I am bringing together artists and creators over a cup of coffee (or tea, kombucha, or your preferred beverage). This group is for connecting and using our collective energy to create artistic flow. We may have a discussion topic or allow the conversation to flow organically. We support and inspire each other. We have genuine connections and hold space for whatever the creative journey means to you. We raise our vibration and show up better in our communities through the artistic process. I am grateful for you being here and taking interest in this experience.
We meet at Mango Tree Coffee in Englewood, and Enchanted Grounds in Littleton, with other venues possible in the future as we grow.
While a diversity of crafts is encouraged, be mindful of avoiding art/craft supplies that would damage the venue's tables or furniture. Beading, colored pencils, ink, charcoal, digital tablets, knitting, cross stitching, scrapbooking, and anything that is mostly dry and easy to clean up would be acceptable. Silicone craft mats are a great idea for anyone using glue or something kind of messy! If you are not sure, send me a message and ask!
Rules:
- I have a strict no-show policy. Due to high demand, and limited space and frequency, after two no-shows, individuals will be removed and blocked from the group. Please take responsibility for your RSVP and update it accordingly. I understand life happens, however, please be respectful of the intent and space of this group by communicating proactively and/or updating your RSVP on the platform.
- Inappropriate behavior, which includes but is not limited to: excessive negativity, drama, using the group for dating, using the group to solicit business or find new clients, etc. will result in a warning. Further offenses will result in removal from the group.
If you found this group and it resonates, I encourage you to explore this experience with us! Thank you for being here!

Whether you are just starting to explore your creative side or have been doing it for years, it is a wonderful experience of mindfulness, acceptance, natural flow, and inspiration. All creation is beautiful, and we are here to honor the practice and the journey.Venue:
Mango Tree Coffee is a coffee shop on Broadway in Englewood! They have awesome coffee, tea, kombucha, pastries (gluten-free options), and food (vegetarian and vegan options). There is ample free parking BEHIND the venue! Please consider supporting the venue with a purchase. They let us use the table for free. When you give, you receive!
Attendance Rules:
Due to table size, this meet-up is limited to 8 people. Please register only if you can attend and update your RSVP as soon as you are no longer able to attend. There is almost always a waitlist, so please be considerate and give other people your spot if you have new obligations!Registration opens two weeks before the event date to give everyone a fair chance to register. Mark your calendars! Also, getting waitlisted can sometimes automatically bump you into a "yes" RSVP if someone else drops - please check back within 24 hours of the event to ensure your RSVP status.
I have a strict no-show policy. If you no-show twice, you are removed and banned from the group. A no-show is considered a "Yes" RSVP and does not show up without contacting me or other organizers. I get it - life happens, people get sick, emergencies, etc. Just send a note or update your RSVP - it takes seconds to be respectful.
Additionally, the following behaviors will result in a removal and ban from the group:
- Repeated last-minute cancellations of RSVPs (multiple times consecutively, or a majority of your RSVPs are canceled the day before)
- Using this group beyond its intended purpose of getting together, crafting, and enjoying conscious time together, please refrain from using it to recruit customers, promote your services, find love, etc. You may casually mention your small business or profession, and sometimes people meet at these events that result in relationships. However, if it is blatantly obvious that you are soliciting these, it will result in a warning, and continued behavior will result in a removal from the group.
- Drama and excessive negativity. Everyone has a bad day; it happens. And this meet-up could be the thing that lifts your spirits. This group intends to bring people together, inspire each other, and create with our collective positive energy. Excessive complaining, negativity, drama, and poor attitude will result in a warning, and continued behavior will result in a removal from the group.
What to Bring:
- Please bring your own art and craft supplies. Unless specified in the event, no spare materials will be provided.
- Please bring crafts that will not damage furniture. If you are working with paint or glue, bring a silicone craft mat. You can buy one on Amazon. They're travel-friendly and great for use at home.
- There is no electricity to the table, so anything that requires a plug-in should stay at home.
- Lighting is not the best, so if you need a light source, please bring a battery-powered or rechargeable option!
- Reusable cup for your coffee/tea/drink.
- A positive, accepting, and loving attitude!
Final Note:
Meetup.com has doubled the cost for organizers to run groups. Since its inception, this group has been - and continues to be - free for attendees. Please consider donating via the Meetup.com platform to keep this group running.I look forward to getting together and sharing our creative energy!
