"An Ideal Husband" by Oscar Wilde at Heidelberg Theatre Company

Join us for the play "An Ideal Husband" at Heidelberg Theatre Company on Saturday 23 November at 8pm. Unfortunately tickets must have been on sale for a while so there are not a lot of tickets left in the theatre so I suggest you get in quickly if you want to attend.

We have posted a separate event for dinner prior at Barkly Hotel in Heidelberg. Buy your own ticket and meet us for a free sherry in foyer before the play and a coffee during intermission. Make sure you RSVP after buying your ticket so we know to look out for you.

### About the play

Sir Robert Chiltern has it all: money, influence and a beautiful wife. What could possibly go wrong? Then the arrival in his London house of a woman who knows secrets from his past threatens to expose him to public shame and bring an end to both his stellar political career and his blissful marriage.

But, with colourful and intriguing characters, and with love hovering, comic possibilities abound and farce is just a closed door away. An Ideal Husband takes a delightfully satirical look at the political and social world of upper-class London in the 1890s.

Laughs aplenty in this Wilde classic.
