Art Meditation and Relaxation

Details
Come join us for a relaxing afternoon practicing the Mandala and Zentangle art forms. Both Mandala and Zentangle are considered meditative art forms focused on pattern. They also go well together to make what is referred to as a Zendala. And best of all, all skill levels are welcome as they are both considered a form of drawing that anyone can do.
Never drawn a Mandala? Never even heard of Zentangle? Fear not! We'll teach you and provide references so that you will be successful with your very first drawing!
Are you a seasoned Zentagler and Mandala drawing pro? Come join us to relax and draw with some peaceful music. Share your knowledge with others as they begin their drawing journey.
Participants are asked to bring their own materials, but we will have a few extras to share:
- Fineliner pens: Suggested sizes are .1, .3, .5
- Heavy paper such as a Bristol smooth. These can be cut down to size for Zentangle tiles.
- Graphite pencil
- Blending stump
- Eraser
- Compass (for mandala)
- Protractor (for mandala)
- Ruler (for mandala)
We will meet in the Create Space on the upper floor of 21C library
