What we’re about
Welcome to the Colorado Vegan Singles (CVS) 45 and Up Meetup!
Are you vegan, plant-based, or a vegetarian who is curious about veganism? Are you single, active, and positive about life, and looking for ways to meet other singles or to make new friends? Great! Let's get together and work out a calendar filled with skiing, camping, hiking, snowshoeing, dancing, music, socializing, and other fun things. If you're sometimes sad, negative, sedentary, or grouchy, we'll still take ya! :-) We will also host vegan potlucks and restaurant outings. Most activities will take place in the front range of Colorado.
This singles-only Meetup group is run by two volunteers and is not affiliated with any organization or for-profit business. We have connections with most of the vegan groups in Colorado and have experience running nonprofit organizations and events. We welcome other hosts of vegan singles social events. Meetup charges a monthly fee, so we may collect donations at events where there are no other fees associated with the event. This helps keep things sustainable.
EXPECTATIONS OF ALL MEMBERS:
- Please include a CURRENT full-face close-up picture of just yourself for your main profile picture so we and other members can recognize you at our events. :-)
- Be respectful and kind to others, in person, and in online comments.
- Please read through the event description carefully before asking questions of the organizer(s). Many times, the answer is in there. If you have advice on how any information can be clearer, feel free to contact one of us.
- All food events are plant-based/vegan and alcohol-free, so please choose vegan-only and alcohol-free food and beverages at our events.
- Dating is your business but be respectful to others and please don’t cause issues in this group. This is a social group, and we want people to feel welcome to come to events.
- Meetup has added a new feature, CONNECTIONS. Please use this option, rather than messaging someone. CONNECTIONS are mutual and are made AFTER two people attend the same Meetup event and both select the CONNECTIONS prompt on the website or the App. They are not public and are not visible on other profiles.

CANCELLATION/NO SHOW POLICIES:
*RSVP early to help with planning. Change your RSVP at least 24 hours before the event if you will not be attending. That way those on the WAIT-LIST will be changed to GOING with a reasonable amount of notice to attend. Occasionally last-minute things come up. Just LET US KNOW if something comes up.
- If you're less than 90% sure you're going to make it to an event that has a waiting list, either don't sign up, or remove yourself to allow someone else to participate. Waiting till the last minute to cancel is just bad etiquette!
- Last-minute cancellations suck, but if you get sick, please cancel - for yourself, and others!
- Additionally, MAKE SURE to remove your name from the WAIT-LIST once you can no longer attend with whatever time is left. The system can change your status from WAIT-LISTED to GOING with VERY little notice.
PARTICIPATE AT YOUR OWN RISK:
IMPORTANT NOTE: All events are “participate at your own risk”. Life is risky. No organizer is a professional meeting planner or guide. By signing up for any of the Meetup events – social events, trail walks, concerts, or any other, you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for your own health and safety.
Let's have some fun, enjoy some great food, and make some new friends!
