Serious Singles in Columbia

This is a group for singles of all ages. If you’re under 21 that isn’t a problem, we have younger members as well and we don’t always go to bars.

I honestly am creating this group to help people connect romantically. Dating can be hard and I know that first hand. But meeting someone out, and getting the chance to develop a connection in person, that is how something can organically grow! To put it easily, I'll create the where and when. You all show up with your smiles, positive attitudes, and come ready to mingle! Maybe...you'll finally find that someone!

To help you find people I do kick inactive members. Members inactive 3+ months are kicked. This is because if you’re dating then you know what you want and if you’re not really looking then a different group might be more for you.

Also, please note if you make a member feel uncomfortable at an event, or outside of an event. If someone comes back and informs me they feel uncomfortable being around you. I will of course address the matter but as the leader I do have the right to kick a member for whatever reason. But nobody will ever be kicked unless there is a big red flag that comes up. So make sure you’re respectful to all members and conduct yourself as a kind and respectful soul.
This group also will respect anonymous tips but just note that in order to address a matter I will need more than an anonymous tip as I’ll need to address the matter with the member. No baseless claims will be made and anyone attempting to slander another will be removed from the group.

I hope these statements outline a group that wants to allow healthy relationships to form. Professionally, romantically, and also platonically.

2. By joining this group, you allow pictures taken to be shared or uploaded to our social media page and you release this group, and its sister group, A Few Good People from any liability related to their use.

3. Membership dues right now are $5 every 6 months (which will change to $10 every 6 months in January 2025 as Meetup increased prices recently for Organizers)
